GNA Energy’s proprietary framework for resource adequacy provides an end-to-end solution to utilities with seamless integration of automated data pipelines, advanced modelling and forecasting (including machine learning and econometric models), linear programming based optimisation models for resource planning, scenario analysis, and Central Electricity Authority (CEA) compliant reporting. The long term plans include optimal investment plan for new generation and transmission capacity, retirement of capacity, etc. while factoring for economic cost/value of lost load, reserve margin, and loss of load probability (LoLP). Medium term plans provide a view on system adequacy (maintenance schedule, outages, and system reliability), resource allocation, and operating policies (including managing hydro storages, fuel supply, emissions, etc.). Short-term models provide operational guidance, including unit commitment and dispatch schedule.
